Why Professional Services is Important in Cloud Implementations

Professional Services (PS) teams have a significant influence on how any Cloud product is adopted by customers and on how efficiently they use it. The ultimate end goal is a success migration, deployment and user adoption of the new Cloud process. Deployment processes are complex and PS consultants need a wide range of skills to be successful. Beyond implementations and deployment, With Cloud based systems, PS team also include training and customer success. While each of these skill sets are different, PS, Training and Customer Success teams must work in concert to successfully complete any Cloud engagement and it is essential to manage change for customers. The advantage is it increases the likelihood of companies meeting the stated goals of any Cloud project. While many Cloud based systems are self explanatory and more plug and play more complex Cloud projects require experienced PS teams to help guide the project to meet project goals. In those cases, leveraging PS will help get the customer to value much faster.
